A report from a national news outlet indicates the Koch brothers are behind a $10 million per year campaign aimed at garnering support for fossil fuels.
The Huffington Post reported Feb. 18 that the Koch brothers are behind a campaign to boost traditional transportation energy and call electric vehicles into question. Specifically, the campaign will reportedly question the tax credits available for new car buyers who opt for an all-electric vehicle. An anonymous source told the Huffington Post the goal of the lobbying initiative is to “make the public aware of all the benefits of petroleum-based transportation fuels…they’re worried about state and community subsidies.
