A string of vehicle thefts in the Milwaukee area have dealers looking for answers. The crime all seem to follow a common theme as the criminals went straight for the keys.
As WISN reported, during the week of May 18, at least three dealerships had vehicles stolen off their lot. The thieves did a “smash-and-grab” technique going for vehicle keys and stealing vehicles. According to reports, three vehicles were stolen from Russ Darrow Honda and seven from Amato Hyundai in Milwaukee, with another being taken from Braeger Ford in Greenfield. While the number of cars stolen varies, the method of theft follows a trend of smash-and-grab, with thieves smashing a glass door or window, swiping keys from wherever the dealership had them stored and then making off with the vehicles. more ...
